Key concepts
Section titled “Key concepts”| Concept | What it is |
|---|---|
| Product | A specific filament product (brand + material + variant) from the shared catalog |
| Spool | Your physical reel — a product you own with a starting weight and current remaining amount |
| Location | Where you store spools — supports unlimited nesting (e.g. Workshop → Shelf A → Bin 3) |
| Project | A print job that consumes filament — defines requirements and tracks usage across print runs |
| Print Run | A single batch of prints within a project, linked to spools and consumption logs |
| Workspace | A shared space for you (and optionally collaborators) that owns your spools, locations, and devices |
