Devices
Devices are your 3D printers. Adding them to MakerStack lets you record which spool is loaded on each machine at any given time — handy when you have multiple printers running different materials.
Adding a device
Section titled “Adding a device”- Go to Devices → Add device
- Enter a name (e.g. “Bambu X1C” or “Prusa MK4”)
- Click Save
Loading a spool onto a device
Section titled “Loading a spool onto a device”- Open the device
- Click Load spool
- Pick the spool from your inventory
- Click Confirm
The spool is now linked to the device. You can see at a glance which spool is loaded from both the device detail page and the spool’s own detail page.
Unloading a spool
Section titled “Unloading a spool”Click Unload on the device to clear the association. The spool returns to its unloaded state — no weight change is made.
Editing a device
Section titled “Editing a device”Click the device name → Edit to rename it or update its details.
Deleting a device
Section titled “Deleting a device”Open the device → More actions → Delete. Any loaded spool is automatically unloaded first.
- Name devices by their physical location if you have many (e.g. “Workshop Bambu” vs. “Office Bambu”)
- Check the device view before starting a print to confirm the right colour is loaded
