Sharing Projects

You can share any project as a read-only public page that anyone can view without signing in. Useful for sharing print details with a friend, community forum, or customer.

Generating a share link

1. Open the project
2. Click Share (link icon in the header)
3. MakerStack generates a unique URL — copy it

The link is permanent until you revoke it.

What the shared view shows

Visitors see:

• Project name and description
• Filament requirements (colour, material, estimated weight)
• Files and links you’ve attached
• Notes (full markdown rendered)
• Print run summaries (quantities and filament used)

Note

The shared view never shows spool-level details (remaining weight, location, or purchase info). It’s safe to share publicly.

Revoking a share link

1. Open the project → Share
2. Click Revoke link
3. The old URL immediately stops working

Revoking also lets you generate a new link if you want to share with a different audience.
