Filament Products

A product represents a specific filament line — a brand, material, and colour combination. Products live in a shared community catalog so you don’t have to re-enter details that others have already added.

The product catalog

Go to Products to browse the full catalog. Filter by:

• Material type — PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, …
• Manufacturer — all major brands included
• Tags — community-added tags for quick filtering

Each product card shows its name, manufacturer, material, variants, and whether you own any spools of it.

Product variants

A single product (e.g. “Bambu Lab PLA Basic”) can have multiple variants — different colours or sizes. Each variant tracks:

• Colour (name + hex code)
• Diameter (1.75 mm / 2.85 mm)
• Full spool weight (kg)
• Temperature profile (nozzle + bed temperatures)
• Barcodes

Adding a new product

1. Go to Products → Add product
2. Choose (or create) the manufacturer
3. Pick the material type
4. Enter a product name
5. Add at least one variant — colour, diameter, weight
6. Optionally add nozzle and bed temperature ranges
7. Click Save

Note

New products you add are visible to your workspace. They may also appear in the shared community catalog for others to benefit from.

Adding variants to an existing product

Open the product → click Add variant. Fill in the colour, diameter, and weight. You can add as many variants as needed.

Product images

Upload a photo of the spool or packaging to help you identify it at a glance:

1. Open the product detail page
2. Click Add image (or drag & drop a file)
3. The image appears on the product card

Proposing edits

See a typo or wrong temperature spec? On any product you didn’t create, click Propose edit to suggest a correction. A community manager reviews it before it goes live.

Manufacturers

Products are grouped by manufacturer. Browse all manufacturers under the Manufacturers section — or jump there directly from a product page.
